The Mapping Ideas Database is an application allowing to visualize the diffusion of philosophical and scientific ideas in the Middle Ages. Initially developed for the “Mechanization of Philosophy” project, the database also serves a more general purpose for everyone interested in the evolution and diffusion of ideas in the long Middle Ages (from late Antiquity to the early modern period).
Based on a collaborative principle, it aims at facilitating the exchange of informations and the collective construction of history of ideas by connecting data gathered by researchers.
